About this time last year, things seemed to be going wonderfully, and in a fit of sentimentality, I came up with the pattern. Oddly enough, the name that I picked then is even more fitting for my current mood: Smoldering Hearts.

The pattern is available as a .pdf on Ravelry, for your enjoyment.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go see if I can find some dark chocolate. And maybe some red wine. And definitely a Cary Grant movie.

I'm so sorry you had a sucky Valentine's Day. If you were here, we'd have totally gone out yarn shopping. One of my LYS's had a sale.
Sometimes I think it'd be okay to take St. Valentine's Day off the official calendar like they did with St. Christopher a few decades ago. Yes, he's still a saint, but if he isn't doing very many people any good, why devote an entire day to him? I'd like to propose St. Cuthbert, the patron saint of shepherds; I'll bet he wouldn't forget us knitters.
